Iris paced around the room with one of Sumire's fingernails placed in her mouth. How was would it take for Ogami and Sakura to wake up? It must have been at least two minutes now!
Thankfully for the every impatient girl, Ogami and Sakura began to stir awake. "Ugh, what happened?" 'Sakura' stated as she rubbed the back of her head, only for her eyes to widen as she brushed her hand against her hair. That slight brush turned into a full grab as she brought hair in front of her face, shocked that it was attached to her head at all.
'Ogami' had a similar reaction as the girl now occupying his body grabbed all over it "What happened?!"
Seeing her chance, Iris skipped over to them and once again tried her best Sumire impression "Ohahaheeheehee, why um, ensing, this clumsy country girl ended up tripping again and knocked you both out." She lied, hoping that the two would suspect they swapped bodies because of some sort of accident and not a stolen invention.
Ogami in Sakura's body stood up, stumbling a bit at first as he was unused to the body. "S-Sumire, can you excuse us for a second?" He said as he dragged his own body behind a curtain, hoping Sumire would easedrop.
"What happened?! I'm you! You're me!" Sakura said in a hushed whisper.
"I don't know! It must have happened when we hit our heads against each other!" Ogami formed a theory based on 'Sumire's' lie from before.
"So what do we do? Hit out heads again? I trip into people all the time and this never happens." Sakura said the last part even quieter than the rest out of shame.
"No, a while back Kohran made a machine that could swap people's bodies. It....was never used." Ogami lied about the last part, Sakura still never learned about the time Kayama became half the Flower Division and for his own safety it was probably best to keep that a secret. "Go to her workshop and ask to borrow it. Until then, I guess I'll pretend to be you?"
Sakura nodded, that last part probably wasn't the best plan but it would probably only be for a few minutes as she grabbed the machine, right? Beggining her walk out of the room, she suddenly found herself being actively pushed out of the door.
"Yes, yes, get out, ensing!" Iris insisted. She was finally going to be in a room alone with Mon Frere and no one knew! Her plan was working perfectly! "Me and Sakura need to rehearse our scenes!"
Sakura was angry at being pushed but at least this let her see the silver lining of this swap, she would be able to skip a hellish rehearsal with Sumire.
Once Sakura was a safe distance away, Iris shoved a script in Ogami's hand and began to practically hop with joy. Opening her own script she began to speak "Okay so blah blah blah evil curse, blah blah blah true love, blah blah blah THE PRINCE NEEDS TO KISS THE FAIR MAIDEN!" She yelled and puckered her lips as she took a step forward toward Ogami.
Ogami for his part was completely shocked and began to step backwards toward the wall as 'Sumire' stepped toward him. What was even happening now?! He was expecting a few minutes of being completely berated by Sumire, but here she was trying to force him into a kiss! Did she not hate Sakura as much as she let on?
As her lips approached, Ogami got way too nervous about the situation and did the only thing he could "WAIT!" He yelled and took another step toward the wall, only to hit the wall itself and ending up tripping backwards.
As Ogami had one of the worst prat falls either of them had ever seen, so bad one of his new legs went high enough to kick Iris in the face, completely knocking her out of her current fantasy.
"Owwww..." Iris had to hold back tears, Sumire wouldn't cry over a cry like that right? Clearly she had been too forceful trying to get a kiss right now, but she didn't give up hope. Mon Frere would be stuck as Sakura until she turned him back and she wouldn't do that until she got her kiss!
As Ogami picked himself up, Iris wondered what to do next. Clearly the kiss rehearsal wasn't going to work for now, but with Mon Frere in Sakura's body maybe she could do something else with him? Sumire would often drag Sakura along on shopping trips to carry her bags, that would be a perfect excuse to spend time with him and have fun!
Of course, she hadn't forgotten the play either. She still had plenty of scenes to rehearse with the other actresses. As much as she hated the idea maybe she should leave Mon Frere behind for a while and focus on rehearsal?
