It was a boiling hot day at the Great Imperial Theater, anyone who could avoid staying inside this non-air conditioned building was leaving for the day. Unfortunately, theater's don't run themselves and at least a few people had to stay behind to prepare the stage for the next performance.
The one currently on the stage moving around extremely heavy props and decorations was the Flower Division's very own Kanna Kirishima. No one else could handle these props so it was up to her, under normal circumstances she wouldn't mind but on a day as hot as this she couldn't help but complain.
"Well, at least I've got some grub to hold me over!" Kanna said cheerfully as she looked over the Chinese take-out food she brought to the stage. There was no better way to cool down your mouth than to eat some hot food!
As Kanna began to eat her meal, the sound of a door opening echoed around the stage. Someone else had entered the room, "Kanna!" The high pitched voice of Iris called out as the young child skipped toward the stage.
Slurping up the rest of her food, Kanna called out "What's up, Iris?"
Iris began to giggle "Mon Frere said yeeees, Mon Frere said yeeeeees!" She said as she began to spin.
"Ain't no way." Kanna said as she swallowed her food. Iris had been talking all morning about how she was going to ask captain Ogami to take her shopping, and apparently he said yes. Kanna couldn't say she blamed him though, other buildings in town had air conditioning.
"Yeah! We're going to go dress shopping first! Ooh ooh! And then we can go get my hair done!" Iris then gasped "Do you think I can convince Mon Frère to get his done too?"
As Iris planned out her day, Kanna had reached the final part of her meal: a fortune cookie. There was nothing seemingly out of the ordinary about it, and in fact under most circumstances Kanna could have eaten it in peace. Unfortunately, someone decided to gloat.
"Now I get to spend the WHOLE DAY with Mon Frere while all of you have to stay in this stinky hot theater!" Iris continued to skip around the stage.
"Hey! At least we're getting some work done, you're lucky you get to play around all the time!" Kanna argued back, but it fell on deaf ears.
"Me and Mon Frère! Me and Mon Frère!" Iris' skipping in circles around Kanna soon got too close, and the girl unfortunately stepped on the fortune cookie which had been placed to the side as Kanna spoke.
As the cookie turned to dust beneath her shoe, Iris and Kanna were overcome with a large flash of light. When it faded, the two girls appeared to be unharmed in any way. Unfortunately, both of them saw a horrific sight before their face.
"AHHHH! YOU'RE ME!" The two girls pointed at each each other in horror. Kanna grabbed her new blonde hair with one hand and Iris' dress with the other in shock. Iris meanwhile reached both of her larger hands toward the new appendages on her chest.
Once the initial shock over the swap had faded, tears began to form in Iris' eyes. "WAAAAAAH! I'm going to miss my date with Mon Frère now!"
"Who cares about some stupid date?!" Kanna stomped a foot as she yelled in a high pitched voice "We need to switch back now!" With no clue at how this could have happened, Kanna turned to what seemed to be the cause: the fortune cookie.
Inside of the cookie dust was a paper fortune, maybe that would have some hint to fixing this? All hope of that died the moment Kanna read the paper. "If you tell anyone who you are, this switch will be perman- DAMN IT!" She cursed as she crumbled the paper.
"Oooooh, now I won't be able to buy a pretty dress!" Iris continued to cry. "I'm going to be stuck in this stupid hot theater all day!" She stomped Kanna's foot as hard as she could, which actually broke a hole through the stage!
"Careful! I'm gonna have to fix that later!" Kanna grabbed at her own body's leg and pulled it out of the hole.
"Nooooo! I'm going to be stuck as a stupid strong gorilla forever!" Iris looked at the destruction she caused and said the worst possible thing she could.
"Gorilla?!" Kanna grinded her teeth. She was already annoyed that Iris wasn't taking this seriously, but with that comment she was going to teach this brat a lesson. "Okay, fine then! You WILL go on a date with Ogami. I'll spend the whoooooole day with him!" Kanna's face formed a grin.
"NOOO! YOU CAN'T DO THAT! IT'S MY DATE!" Iris whined.
"Noooo, it's mine. I'm the cute little girl who doesn't have to work all day. You're the big strong gorilla who has to fix a hole in the stage." Kanna crossed her arms.
"You don't even like dresses!" Iris screamed.
Kanna was stunned into silence for a second, it was true. If she actually went on this shopping trip with Ogami then there was no way out of at least the first phase of it being dress shopping, which was practically torture to Kanna. However, that didn't stop her. "I'm sure I'll pick out a good one. Hmm, maybe something tan and red." She added that last part to annoy Iris.
Iris was now growing red with anger. "If, if you do that I'll wreck the whole stage!" She said as she grabbed a prop "Then you'll have to clean it when we swap back!"
Kanna shrugged, she absolutely could not lose an argument to a child. She needed to escalate things just a bit more. "Fine then! I just hope you're ready for what will happen after dress shopping." With a few coughs to prep her voice, Kanna began to do the sweetest most sing-songy voice she could "Oh Mon Frère, can I please have a mowhawk? I saw a bunch of big girls with them. Ooh! Ooh! Can it be green too?"
"GRAAAAH!" Iris yelled as she threw a random prop at the wall, shattering it and sealing the deal for how these two would spend their day.
As Iris began to wreck the stage and Kanna ran off to 'enjoy' her shopping trip, the last bits of cookie dust began to blow away. If this swap was lasting until they learned a lesson, it clearly wouldn't be learned for a while.
