Mordian Iron Guard - These guardsmen serve on the tidally locked hiveworld of Mordian on the shadow side of the planet. As the bulwark against constant rebellion and riots, they’ve learned to obey every order and trust in their officers and each other fully. Well trained and in their fancy uniforms that stand out on the fields of battle, these troops are loyal and obedient to a fault, completing each order without question.
Common stereotype - The Mordians lack any real sense of choice, and will obey every order that they’ve been given, regardless of what the order is. And their fancy uniforms aren’t too well built, a stiff breeze or a snag in the fabric, and the whole thing falls apart! It’s not uncommon for a regiment to end up naked except for their hats and boots after a battle.
Elysian Drop Troops - The legendary airborne assault regiment, these fine guardsmen are known as drop troopers and are often dropped into combat from high altitude. Carrying smaller patterns of lasgun and lighter equipment, they’re fast on the move and good in a firefight. Unfortunately, they lack any sort of armor or heavy weapons, so if they’re fighting anything mechanized, it’s going to be an uphill fight. When dropped into battle, these drop troopers don’t use grav-chutes, but their massive, frilly skirts, exposing their bare legs underneath!
Common stereotypes - These guarden live for the thrill, no challenge too great, no enemy too tough, and no height too tall. They also have ended up in more trouble than others because of this, something that sends their commissars into a tizzy. And a popular initiation ritual is to have the new trainies go commando on each drop for their first five deployments.
