The First Heist

Carmelita was wandering around as her parents talked to Mrs. Puffin.

She soon saw a raccoon, a turtle, and a hippo, sitting around a sheet of paper with crayons.

"Whatcha doing?" she asked, as she came up to them.

"Trying to get some cookies," said the turtle.

"Can't you ask for them?" Carmelita asked.

"Not these ones," the raccoon said.

"Yeah, Mrs. Puffin won't share them," the hippo said. "They were supposed to be for us, but she just took them."

"So, what are you doing?" Carmelita asked.

The raccoon grinned. "Planning my first heist. We're going to steal them."

"Stealing's wrong," said Carmelita.

"I'm glad you agree," the raccoon said. "But they stole it first, so it's perfectly fine."

At this, Carmelita....
