Swapping is mandatory

A pall hung over Kwik Save and its name was the 'Attribute Redistribution Program.' Even the Wilkos rivalry, for the briefest of moments, paled in comparison.

"This is sick." Victoria sneered as she tapped at her phone. A rainbow snaked its way across the screen, followed by a waving, smiling stick figure. 'Swap App' flashed in bright blue colors, followed by a 'Welcome back, Victoria!' "Fucking infantilizing piece of shit."

"How do they even have this information?" Courtney, who stood next to Victoria, winced at her own screen. A 3D photorealistic model of her own naked body, followed by lines upon lines of detail, including... was that a countdown to her next period? "What the hell?"

All across the store, bitter groans sounded. The Attribute Redistribution Program. A new policy to stymie sexual harassment across all levels of society and promote mutual understanding across people of all walks of life. Or, in short, anyone could be swapped whenever an invisible suit deemed it necessary. A few trials showed a decrease in harassment rates and so the law was implemented.

"Thank god we're out of school." Eleanor's eyes flicked to Alice, whose gait belied a remodeled plumbing. "I hear that that is mandatory there."

"Really?"

"Oh yes." Victoria's screen flashed a green checkmark. Checkin done! "Oh, get this. I heard that now, you need a dick to be a sex worker."

"Fuck, really?"

A smirk grace Victoria's lips. "Liam learned that the hard way, in case you were wondering why he is walking funny."
