Chapter #7

Nightwing - Escape From Earth 3

    by: MadameMystica Author IconMail Icon
While Dick was distracting Ultraman, Bruce dug deep into Owlman's files and uncovered the location of a device called the Quantum Trigger. The project was still in its research and development phase back on Earth 1. But on Earth 3, the trigger was complete thanks to Owlman's vicious, illegal business practices. The thought of using his alter-ego to strike fear into his competitors and scare them into agreeing to deals more lucrative for Wayne Industries was sickening. But that abuse of power was only the tip of the iceberg, it seemed, and was just the status quo for Earth 3.

Bruce hypothesized that string theory wasn't merely a theory. He'd collected plenty of evidence to suggest that the multiverse was real. Power Girl was living proof of that, claiming to be from another earth and being an exact biological copy of Supergirl if not a few years older. Barry's encounter with a so-called "Flashpoint" was what set Bruce off to begin development of a new device. The goal of the Quantum Trigger was to create a contraption capable of creating rifts in the fabric of space and time. To create portals to parallel worlds as well as serving as something of a multiversal GPS.

Suffice to say, Bruce sighed from relief when he saw that Owlman had it in storage in that very facility. The trigger he built wasn't fully operational and he scrapped the project since he saw it as a waste of resources. However, the spare parts and components to finish the trigger weren't far.

Once Bruce deciphered the locations of what he needed, he stepped away from the computer.

"What the hell are you doin' over there anyway?"

"I'm going to check our storage," Bruce was short and to the point. From what he gathered from the brief surveillance footage he'd watched of the Owlman, his counterpart's behavior was very similar to his own.

"For what?"

"Owlrangs."

He gestured to the throwable projectiles on his belt. He wasn't sure if that was what Owlman actually called them.

"Yeah, okay, you have fun with that."

Ultraman yawned boredly.

Bruce left Ultraman and "Superwoman" alone, but he moved at a brisk pace. He didn't want anything bad to happen to Dick while he was gone. As he headed to the storage room, he researched Owlman's files for Ultraman's weakness.

"So now that the egghead's gone, how's about you and me make up for lost time..?"

Ultraman grinned, his meaty hand rubbing against "Superwoman's" thigh.

Dick blushed profusely.

What was she supposed to do? She really wished Bruce didn't just leave her alone like this but it likely for a good reason. She hoped whatever he found in storage would prove useful.

Without hesitation, Ultraman embraced Dick tightly and pressed his lips firmly to hers. Her breasts squished up against his rock hard muscles. His hand felt down her back and took a handful of her voluptuous ass. To her surprise, she felt butterflies in her stomach. Was her body attracted to him? Did that make her gay? Well, technically straight since she was in the body of a woman. All she knew was she was kissing him back without even thinking to.

Ultraman pulled back, with a big dumb grin on his face.

"Why you actin' so bashful, Donna? This ain't like you at all..."

He didn't seem to take issue with it. From what Dick could tell, this Superwoman lady was probably the dominant type. Of course Ultraman noticed she was being all quiet and submissive all of the sudden. Dick just didn't know what to do. Clearly she was supposed to keep him occupied while Bruce figured a way out of this mess, but dammit what was taking him so long?

"You're bein' real quiet for a change. I kinda like it...."

Ultaman continued to kiss Superwoman, this time pressing her body firmly against the wall. To her surprise, the structure gave slightly. Surely the amount of force he was using would have broken every bone in her body had she been plain old Dick Grayson. She hadn't had time to process that she was a metahuman now. An Amazon, to be precise.

The door suddenly slid open and "Owlman" stood in the doorway with a blank expression. He glanced from the big lug to Dick. He gave her that look

"Hey Tommy, can ya be a bro and fuck off? We're in the middle of somethin' here."

Ultraman frowned slightly, obviously annoyed he was being interrupted the one time Donna was seemingly let him have his way with her.

Without skipping a beat, Bruce yanked a gadget out of his utility belt. He drew a metallic gun-shaped device and fired it without hesitation. A neon beam erupted into Ultraman's back and in an instant he was gone.

"B-bruce, what did you just-"

"I teleported him to the other side of the galaxy. Come here, we don't have long."

Bruce recalibrated the contraption while Dick regained her bearings.

"What is that?"

"The Quantum Trigger. It allows seamless travel throughout the multiverse. Grab onto me, we're getting out of here."

Dick placed her hand on Bruce's shoulder and he fired up the trigger.

In a flash of light, the dynamic duo returned to Earth 1.
