You try to run away from Zach

Ultimately, you decided that following and/or trying to climb Zach would be too risky. It would likely be safer to try to get as far away from him as possible. So, as Zach was busy looking for you, you decided to run away.

But of course, things had to go badly for you. Above, Zach figured you must have gone out or something. "Oh well," he shrugged, "I'll just see him later." Without another thought about where you could have been, Zach turned around and took a step in your direction. Your eyes widened as you felt the earth tremble violently. Although you didn't turn around, you figured Zach was walking towards you. Desperately, you looked around and eventually saw a crack that was big enough for you to dive into. Maybe that would be a safe spot. So, you tried to run towards it, but the earthquakes generated by your little brother's footsteps made it difficult for you to keep your balance...
