The next round was basically a tickle fight between the two. The stage crew brings out a wheeled bed for the next and final round. The rule is simple: whoever could make the other person laugh the most within a minute would be crowned the tickle champion.
“Ready?” the announcer asked, eyeing both contestants with anticipation.
“Ready!” Kristi replied, her competitive spirit igniting.
The buzzer sounded, and the contest began. Kristi lunged at Chassy, her fingers wiggling like playful spiders. Chassy squealed and attempted to dodge, but they were both trapped in a whirlpool of giggles. Kristi found Chassy’s sides and began her assault. Chassy erupted into laughter, her bright blue eyes sparkling with glee.
“Not fair, you know my weak spots!” Chassy gasped.
Kristi grinned, reveling in the joy of the moment. But Chassy had a trick up her sleeve too. She quickly turned the tables and began to tickle Kristi’s neck, causing Kristi to collapse into a fit of laughter. The crowd roared, reveling in the lighthearted battle between two friends.
Time seemed to fly. The buzzer rang, signaling the end of the contest, but both girls were still rolling on the ground, laughter spilling out uncontrollably. With tears of joy in their eyes, they made it to their feet, breathless but happy.
The announcer raised an eyebrow and began to tally the audience's reactions. “Based on the laughter we heard, it looks like we have a tie!”
The crowd cheered again, chanting, “Kristi! Chassy! Kristi! Chassy!” The energy was electric, and Kristi exchanged a knowing smile with Chassy. They may not have won individually, but together they had created a moment filled with laughter that would last a lifetime.
“Same time next year?” Chassy asked, still giggling.
“Definitely!” Kristi replied. “But next time, I'm bringing my secret weapon… tickle feathers!”
