Lucy kept excitedly peppering Crystal with questions, wanting to know all the details of her incredible transformation.
“How tall are you now?” Lucy asked. Before, the top of Crystal’s head had come up to below Lucy’s nose, but now their roles were practically reversed, and Lucy found herself staring at her friend’s full lips, now twisted into a smug smirk.
“Five feet, ten inches,” Crystal said proudly, standing a little straighter.
“You grew like a foot taller!?” Lucy exclaimed.
“More like 10 inches,” Crystal said. She raised an eyebrow. “Wait, how tall did you think I used to be?”
Lucy ignored her and went on, walking around to Crystal’s front and prodding her in the prodigious chest. “How big are the girls now?”
Crystal puffed her chest out. “I’m wearing a 38DD,” she boasted. She cupped her breasts and gave them a bounce, almost gasping at the sensation. The erotic sensitivity from growing still lingered. She took a breath, then went on. “But this bra’s a little snug, honestly. I’m probably going to have to go get custom fitted.”
Lucy glanced down at her own chest. “Man, jealous.” Then she looked back up. “Did it hurt? Growing, I mean?”
“Not at all. In fact,” Crystal blushed a little and her voice lowered. “In fact, it felt really good. Like, really good.”
Lucy bit her lip as her eyes darted across her friend’s body again, “D-Do you have-“
She snapped her mouth shut and looked past her friend. Crystal turned around and saw Josh Caldwell approaching them. Crystal had had a crush on him since freshman year. He was tall, attractive, intelligent and friendly. Athletic but not a jock. Smart but not really a nerd. Sensitive but absolutely not a pushover. He was one of the few boys who so much as gave her the time of day, but still, she didn’t think he’d ever go for the diminutive beanpole that she used to be.
Used to be. She grinned as she noticed that she was now the same height as Josh now.
“Hey, Lucy,” Josh said as he approached the two of them, raising his hand in greeting. Then he lowered it and held it out to Crystal. “Hi, I’m Josh,” he said. “I don’t think I’ve seen you around before. You new?”
Beside and behind her, Crystal could hear Lucy tittering excitedly. He doesn’t recognize me, she realized. What should I tell him?
She considered fooling with him for a moment, but Josh was such a sweet guy it felt wrong to lie to him. Despite her new body, she suddenly felt bashful again.
But then she took a deep breath. New start, Crystal, she told herself. New confidence. “Um, actually, she said, “I’m Crystal.” She grinned, shyly, feeling her cheeks warm. “I, uh, just finally hit my growth spurt, I guess.”
Josh blinked, surprise evident. “Crystal! No way! I hardly recognized you!” His eyes swept over her body, and to his credit, his gaze didn’t linger on her cleavage for too long.
“Yeah, it’s been an interesting summer,” Crystal said, unconsciously twirling a lock of hair in her fingers. Her confidence flickered and she forced herself to meet Josh’s gaze, her hear racing.
“She used that big brain of hers- oof!” Lucy was cut off as Crystal bumped her hip into her and she stumbled back and fell to the ground.
“Oh no, Lucy!” Crystal said, her dismay not sounding too forced. “Sorry! I’m so clumsy! I’m still getting used to...everything. She kneeled down to help her friend up. “Ix-nay on the ormula-fay,” she said under her breath as she got an arm under her. “Let’s just keep everyone thinking I’m a late bloomer, OK?”
“Ow, right.” Lucy winced as she climbed to her feet
“Are you OK, Lucy?” Josh said.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” Lucy said as she dusted herself off. “No harm, no foul.”
“What were you saying earlier?” Josh asked. “About Crystal’s brain?” He glanced at Crystal.
Crystal turned and looked down at Lucy, raising an eyebrow. Lucy took the hint. “She was, uh, working on some college admission stuff this summer. Trying to get ahead of the rush.” She nudged Crystal with her elbow. “You know high-achieving genius types like her.”
Josh didn’t say anything for a second, but then grinned. “Yeah, that was probably a good idea,” he said. “I definitely should have gotten on that. Instead, after family vacation, I just sort of played video games all summer."
Crystal blinked. “Wait, didn’t you hang out with Amber?” Amber was Josh’s girlfriend. Since Josh was a sweet guy and kind to everyone who crossed paths with him, Amber apparently had to bring an overabundance of stereotypical high-school-jock-cheerleader-power-couple-bitchiness energy to the relationship to balance the scales. She had particular disdain for Crystal, never missing a chance to mock her diminutive stature or boyish figure. Crystal had never figured out why Josh went out with her.
Josh grimaced. “No, we broke up.” He brushed a hand through his hair. “It just...wasn’t working out. Our...uh, personalities clashed.” He gave Crystal an apologetic little grin. “Sorry she was such a bitch to you. I should have done more to rein her in.”
Crystal shrugged. “I honestly don't think you could have,” she said, and inside, her heart fluttered. Josh was single! Maybe…
Her train of thought was interrupted as the school bus pulled up to the curb. The doors slid open with a squeal and students started filing on board.
“Ladies first,” Josh said with a grin, gesturing for Crystal and Lucy to get on.
Crystal stepped onto the bus. She wasn’t tall enough to need to duck to avoid hitting her head, but she was so dramatically taller than she had been the last she had gotten on a bus she felt like she should. She giggled a little. As she made her way down the aisle, she could feel every eye on her. Whispers and not-so-subtle pointing followed in her wake.
“Who’s the hot new girl?”
“Is that...Crystal?”
“Who?”
“No way! Crystal was tiny!”
Crystal slid into an empty seat, her ass cushioning her in a way it never had before, and put her backpack between her feet. Lucy plopped down beside her, while Josh took the seat across the aisle. Crystal glared at Lucy. She was hoping she’d be able to sit next to Josh.
The bus lurched forward, and Crystal gasped at the still-new sensation of her breasts bouncing slightly. It was a delightful reminder of her transformation.
1) Crystal arrives at school.
2) On the drive to school, some unexpected side effects from the Jumbo Gro start manifesting. Crystal’s body isn’t done changing
3) The bus goes over a bump and the bottle of Jumbo Gro bounces out of Crystal’s backpack. No one notices it roll away and it’s found by another student near the back of the bus
