Soya Katomi had a pretty rough life so far. Losing both her parents at a very young age due to a car crash and ending up in an orphanage would surely wreck someone’s normal social life in a huge way, but Soya was soon to get a opportunity that could change her life in a massive way.
Recently around the world the The Great Kaiju Academy has been issuing a lottery for students to be selected to attend the great school and learn alongside the kaijus. Soya was curious about those kaijus and luckily the orphanage entered everyone’s name in the lottery to those who are interested in it, curious to see if by any chance some adoptions could happen. What they don’t know is that there was a secret survey that only some would see, and it would be one that would grant certain students certain rights. While filling out her survey and lottery chance, Soya and a teacher came across it, and they find many questions that would be expected out of a kaiju. Out of interest, Soya admitted her love for the monsters, and with the amusing orphanage teacher, filled it out and see what happens, then sent it in. What would soon happen would be totally unexpected.
One day several people in black suits would come to the orphanage during their recess where Soya was playing with sandcastles as a monster and they would ask her name, and she would introduce herself. After some paperwork was done, it was revealed that Soya has been selected to attend the Academy, but they’re is another catch as well.
“You have to be kidding me, are you saying that it is possible for someone like me to become one of those giant monsters?!!!!! I am in disbelief, I thought that was something only the movies would even dare to show.” Soya said, utterly surprised by the offer that she got by the school to become one of their students, but not just that, but become a kaiju as well.
“I assure you, this is not a bluff, it is actually true, kids like you that go to this school actually have the choice if selected by that secret survey that they uncover get to have the choice of attending it as a Normal person, or become a kaiju. Now being a kaiju obviously has it perks.” The staff member who is a female wearing a high classy outfit said to her.
“Well obviously being big and powerful, but is there any catch?” Soya asked.
“Well yes, once you transform, you cannot go back to your normal self, so this is a massive decision that you must make for yourself. Given you are an orphaned kid, being big could really wreck your chances of being adopted, but I assure you the kaiju race is more than willing to help you adjust to your living conditions if needed. Besides, do you really know where these kaijus came from?” The staff member explained.
“No, not really, where?”
“They came from underneath the Earth’s surface, think of it like this, there is a world underneath the one we are in right now, and it is very much like our world here, only they are massive in size, what it will be soon for you if you choose.” she hopes Soya will say.
“Yes, I am totally in! I WANNA BE A GIANT MONSTER!!!!!!”
“I love that energy, I think you will make a great kaiju. Say, let’s get going!”
