This choice: First graders  •  Go Back...
Chapter #6

First grade goddess

    by: TheLittleGuy Author IconMail Icon
"Oh god." She's not only young, but she's the youngest she could be. And yet, without even being aware of it, she tossed your helpless little form. You wished there was another option, but if you didn't get help soon, you'd be stuck on the bus while the bus driver cleans, and if the stories Cierra told were anything to go by, she'd be more likely to squish you than help you.

Taking a deep breath and gathering your courage, you stepped closer to the foot. The foot was neatly tucked into massive blue flip-flops. They weren't just massive because of your micro size; the sole of the flip-flop was at least an inch and a half thick, which had it over your knee level. It was also worth mentioning the length of the since it was a good 2 and a half inches longer than your shrimpy little form. The size of this first graders flip-flop makes you feel powerless. As you look down your body you find yourself hard as a rock.

You prepare to lift yourself onto the sole of the shoe when suddenly the whole thing shakes. You fall back, and the foot slides out of the footwear. The flip flop is discarded midair, and it hurtles down towards you. Your time playing video games must have paid off since you can instinctively roll away as the flip-flip lands upside down where you were standing.

Pride courses through you. Maybe this won't be so hard after all. "If that flip-flop can't crush me, nothing can!"

Before we continue, it's important to note that one of the side effects of unneeded bravado is temporary blindness to your surroundings. Thus, you didn't notice the other foot do the same thing. This time, it landed right side up, and the muddy sole crashed down on you.

Lesson learned, you crawl your way out from under the foam and wipe the muck off. Looking up, it appears she tucked her feet under her as if she was preparing for a long ride. Good, since time wasn't on your side. A new plan needed to be made, so you took check of your surroundings. Her backpack was stowed under the seat, next to her seatmate's pack. Speaking of her seatmate, she hadn't pulled her feet up, leaving them for you to potentially use. She is wearing white Adidas shoes. The good news is that she's wearing sneakers which are easier to climb. The bad news is that she's slipping her feet out of her shoes and playing with them.

So, you are left with a decision. Will you try to climb the sneakers of the seatmate, or will you try to get the attention of the fisrt-grade goddess that almost squished you?

You have the following choices:

*Pen*
1. Approach the sneakers!

*Pen*
2. Remain on the flip flop! Her foot is coming down.

*Pen*
3. You get Flug to another seat.

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
