Can't Romantic Getaway from Jenna - Part 2

"WHY ARE YOU HERE, JENNA?!"

You bellowed the question, literally hopping with rage in the palm of your sister's hand. It was the first time you'd been alone since she'd gotten here, the two of you waiting for Mari and Felicity to return from the ladies room.

"Come on, Matt," Jenna scoffed without a hint of shame. "You didn't really expect me to give up a free trip to Paris, did you?"

"We had a deal! For three months I put up with whatever your sick little heart desired and in exchange you were supposed to let me and Mari enjoy our vacation in Paris alone!"

"I don't know why you're so mad," Jenna said casually. "I'm the one doing you a favor."

"A favor?!"

"Yeah dummy! You really thought you could just sink your entire savings into a romantic trip to another country, knowing none of their laws and a week's worth of their language, at your size, with your luck, and your girlfriend's bad memory, and somehow everything would go perfectly fine? You didn't even know 99% of affected are licensed in France, dude."

Jenna may have had a point but you were still too angry to admit it.

"Yeah, well, maybe, I would've had more time to research the law and the language if my psycho of a sister hadn't spent the past three months turning me into a smear!"

"Somehow I doubt that," Jenna said, with a knowing smirk that hurt all the more because you actually shared that doubt. You'd been so swept up in the romance of the trip that you hadn't even done basic research on the country you were visiting. But that didn't mean you didn't have a right to be angry about your sister going back on your deal!

"Just admit it! Admit you planned this from the start and you never intended for me and Mari to be alone!"

"I absolutely admit I planned this from the start. For one, again, it's a free trip to Paris. Two, the look on your face when you reformed was priceless. And three... you really have absolutely no idea how much danger you're in," Jenna said, her expression turning abruptly solemn. "On my flight down, the woman sitting next to me on the plane told me she was blacklisted by the CTC. She flew all the way down here because it's so easy to license a tiny that she can just pick one up off the street. Hell, she tried to pry open the Tiny Economy class before a stewardess caught her and she wasn't even punished, just told to stop. Between women like her specifically coming here to hunt for tinies, and the women that live here using them like it's nothing, I'm amazed you made it to the lobby before getting licensed. I mean, I love Mari to death, but, let's face it, the two of you could use a little more... supervision."

"And since when are you my guardian angel?!" you snapped.

Jenna shrugged. "Eh, life would get boring if you went missing."

You'd just been about to lash out at her again when that unexpectedly subdued reaction took the wind out of your sails. She was trying to pass it off as a joke, but it was exactly because she wasn't making a big deal out of it that you knew her concern was genuine. She really thought you might go missing here without her. It was a rare moment of humanity from your sister... but that still didn't excuse anything that she'd done! You were still angry as all hell at her for taking advantage of you for her amusement and then interfering in your life, especially when you were considering something as important as finally proposing to Mari. But her kernel of actual worry doused the flames of your passion enough for you to go from boiling with rage to simply simmering.

"That right?" you said, folding your arms across your chest, glowering.

"Yeah," Jenna smiled. "Luckily, I get the feeling that the sight of Mari using you like a toy for the next week will be plenty entertaining!"

And just like that, the moment of sincerity had passed. Before you could lash out at her again, you heard footsteps, and turned around to see Mari heading back accompanied by Felicity.

"Hello, mademoiselle Jenna," Felicity said, already going back to ignoring your presence. "I apologize for the delay."

"No trouble at all," Jenna said in French, wondering not for the first time if the couple's vacation assistant dated tourists, and blushing in response to her radiant smile.

"Now, mademoiselles, I hope you're ready for our first activity?"
