Ben's head felt like Cannonbolt played a few games of pinball in is skull. He slowly groaned as he opened his eyes. It took him a few moments for his eyes to refocus. The first thing he saw was Gwen. She was reading a book, Ben didn't understand. He saw her die but she looked perfectly fine. He was beyond confused at this moment. He did noticed something off, as she had short hair.
She looked up from her book at him. She just looked at him for a few moments.
"What's wrong doofus." Said Gwen, then going back to her book.
Ben shocked, Gwen haven't called him doofus in years. He looked around and noticed he was in the Rustbucket. This made him even more confused.
"Gwen, please be nice. Ben haven't done anything to you." Said Grandpa Max.
"Yet." Said Gwen, not looking up from her book.
Ben was confused, he looked into the window. That when he noticed something g was wrong, very wrong. He looked like a kid again.
"Ben are you excited for this year's road trip ?" Asked Grandpa Max, looking back.
Ben was silent for a few moments, as he was trying to figure this out.
"Sure." Said Ben, Max was a little out put. He was expecting Ben to more excited.
For an hour Ben just sat there in complete silence. Gwen was confused, as she was expecting Ben to be his usual braty self but he was just sat lost in thought.
"OK doofus, what's are you up to ?" Asked Gwen, as she believed Ben was up to something. Yet Ben remained silent. Gwen was kind freaking out, so she snapped her fingers in Ben's face.
"Earth to doofus." Said Gwen, yet Ben didn't respond. Gwen sighed.
"What's wrong Ben." Said Gwen, deciding to be friendlier.
"Nothing." Said Ben, Gwen knew he was lying.
"Ben I know when you're lying." Said Gwen, Ben didn't know what to do. One minute he was watching everything he knew burning around him and now he was here. This was just like that summer he got Omnitrix.
