Eleven lived with Hopper. There she had her own room. Although she had her own room this doens't means she had her own privacy as Hopper had a special rule. He insisted that every door in the house remains open for atleast 3 inches. This was so Eleven would't use her powers to keep door shuts. Hopper was quite the traditional white dad who liked having control on the comings and goings of his new resident.
El on the other hand didn't mind all those weird Hopper rules as for her hole while life she grew up rather strict. She was already quite content with the fact she now had her own room and a little freedom. Every weekend she hooked up with her friends, Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin and May.
It was friday, school just ended and it was quite a nice hot summer day. Apparently all the boys had something to do this weekend. The only one available to hang out with this weekend was May. Eleven didn't know May that well so was kinda not in the mood to hang out.
"So all those dumb boys got some stupid shit going on, that means we are the only one left El." May said while walking out the school gates.
"Hm yeah euh looks like it." El responded a little nervous.
"What? You don't wanna hang out? Oh come on this is the perfect opportunity for a girls-only-night!" May teased.
"Euhmmm Wh~ What's a girls night?" Eleven asked as she never had one before.
"Seriously? You don't know what a girls night is? Let me tell you it's much more fun ha!" May said clearly trying to lure Eleven in.
Eleven look at May a little stunned. She still didn't know what to expect from it.
"Okay then I geuss." El said breaking the silence.
"Come follow me to my house" May said.
And so Eleven followed May to her house. She was kinda curious to find out what a girls night is all about.
They arrived at May's home. Her brother, Billy was upstairs blasting some hard core metal through his stereo. From downstairs it was hearable but doable.
"Don't worry about my brother he is just eugrr... nevermind, lets not waste time on him shall we." May said. "Come follow me." May added and walked upstairs to her room. She opened the door and let El in first.
"So what do you think?" May said with a smug face.
El, who lived in a very basic room with Hopper without any posters or decoriation was amazed by the number of posters on the wall, the vibrant colors of the room, the amazing comic collection she has... all things she didn't has.
"Pretty neat huh?" May said.
"Its perfect." El answered.
"Come lets hop on my bed I want to read this with you." May said while holding a magazine titled 'The top 10 most handsome boys of America'.
May hopped on her bed while simultaniously kicking of her converse shoes to reveal her white ankle socks. She installed her on the bed laying on her belly with her legs up, laying in the pose.
Eleven still stood in the corner of the room. There was something weird about May converse shoes. It was like she was drawn to it, but didn't know why. Even her seeing her white ankle sock on her feet which were now playfully dangling in the air behind May had a weird effect on El. She didn't know what it was but it was something new. Something she hadn't had experienced first.
"Come on what are you waiting for El? Hop on. I bet you will love this magazine too." May persuaded her.
With those words Eleven was pulled out of her trance and realised it was probably weird for May to have someone staring.
Eleven kicked of her shoes to and lied next to May.
May opened the magazine and they both started looking at the boys while commenting.
Although El was enjoying this girls time with May it still bother her that she had developped a sudden kind of interest in the feet of her redheaded friend.
