Cass’s mind was swarming with schemes, elaborate ways that will ensure Abby will end up falling head over heels for her but she kept hitting a wall.
“It’s being here that’s the problem, a change in scenery where she can admire all that I built will do the trick.”
Cass thought of this in her own strange competitive mindset, fully locked into the idea she said in what she assumed would be full confidence.
“W-well the shack looks somewhat decent Abby I admit but if you really wanna see a real success you should see Cala-Cali.”
Cass boasted and she wondered if she just shot herself in the foot but from the kind growing smile on Abby’s face she decided it was not a complete loss.
“Oh that sounds delightful Cass, haven't been to your place in a while.”
Abby said and Cass watched as she entered back in her store to inform her daughter and that balloon chested Rios that she will be heading off with her. Having time to calm down Cass now knows that this was finally a chance where she can make a proper move with no bothersome family or friends in the way.
Cass waited for Abby to finish getting her store all set to run with her absence, she waited out front near the beginning of the beach where the Shack stood where sand meets concrete. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted tiny movement, she would have ignored something so small and insignificant on most days but the annoyingly gnawing feeling of Chazz being missing forced her to take some action. If she did not find her boy soon then all of the crones and snobs at the council and social clubs would look down on her. Of course they rarely ever bring up tinies at the social club balls and gasterhings but on the off chance….
Nolan is a spry young man exhausted from school and feeling the odd mix of happy to be done with highschool for good but already mourning the loss of the structure it brought. Sure it was hard going for a tiny like him there, he was bullied and literally picked on. But no one dared try to take him, it was the same for all the tinies in Black Reef High, they had Claire Caspond keeping a close eye on things, making sure only tinies students already in a license were being used and only by their license owners. The curvaceous woman was both seen as a guardian to them and a cold warden, Nolan had more than a few friends swindled into contracts or flat out had their signatures forged. But to Enforcer Caspond a license was a license so she would pluck these boys and hand them to their owners.
He shivered trying to forget how many friends he lost this way, calming down as he looked up and enjoyed the early sun high above the beach. Sure it was dumb to come here all by himself. He should be more mindful of things but this was his last summer to be a dumb kid before heading to even more school and becoming a dumb young man. With a quick inhale of sea watered laced air he took one step into the sand before his lungs collapsed as he was pinched from his middle with no care and yoinked skyward.
Cass sighed in frustration and anger, noting almost instantly that this thing was not her Chazz, he was wheezing with tears in his eyes and looked like he was about to speak. Not even looking at it she flung it far toward the sand. She took a handkerchief out from her purse and wiped it clean, who knows where that thing was stepping in before she touched it.
“Val should really be in charge of this..”
She mutters to herself feeling like her hand is still not clean enough, Valeria, her only daughter and a child prodigy, is at home absorbed in her studies. Her genius of a daughter wants nothing to do with her or her company, showing how grateful she is. Always whining and spouting dribble like how she is dehumanizing these poor people or how they deserve to be seen as equals. Cass would laugh if her daughter did not mean it so, it was embarrassing to have a sympathizer in her family, especially these days when people who know a tiny is a tiny feel outnumbered.
Always so dramatic. You make one boy she takes home disappear and suddenly you're a monster. Cass finds it so funny that if her daughter's little pet didn't disappear she would have been too distracted to place so highly in tests and end up where she is today. She should be thanking her really. It’s times like this Cass entertains the idea that only if Chazz was a woman then most of her concerns would go away, no doubt her crude, womanizing and greedy boy would have made a fine person she could have groomed to take over. But with him being born the way he is, Chazz is more of a mascot for her family and name, something she needs to protect but can never be proud of. She is aware that “things are changing”, all these new laws wanting employers to pay their tiny workers the same as their real ones and banning usage laws all together.
Luckily she was born in one of the few places that still has their head screwed on right, here in Black Reef a tiny is still a tiny. I mean how unfair would it be that when Cass finally ascended into power and was gonna abuse the same laws everyone has been using for years for it all to overturn in a generation? No sir, not if she can help it.
Cassandra Callhan was not always this heatless cold woman who saw the tiny folk of this world less than human, she also did not always have a body that seemed to nearly burst from her clothing. She was once a small framed and shy girl who fell head over heels for a darkly dressed cool girl in school, no one on earth misses Abby’s goth garb more than Cass. She lost track back in school how many times the dark short skirts, leather boots and long sleeved metal tees cut up in all the right places to show off her pale skin that made her drool and eyes bulge. But not only did some tiny who did not know his place steal her love he also made her think dressing goth was a “phase”, or at least that's what Cass believes.
Hating all tinies for the action of Harold she sheltered her heart and focused on studies wanting to distance herself from home. Majoring in business and economics she wanted to make a name for herself but needed capital, luckily for her a dumb and naive tiny name Charles fell in love with her. Charlies came from a progressive family of means who loved and treated him like any other. At first she brushed off all his advances but knowing she would need his money she decided to play the girl he would want. She sprouted off some pro-tiny rhetoric she googled online from forums that made her need to clear her history after each visit.
She even buttered up to his family; the girl she pretended to be had them all under her spell; they all believed she was truly in love with young Charlies. Hell they didn't even bat an eye when she put a clause in their marriage stating in case of any accident that all of his inheritance would be left to her. The world was a dangerous place for tinies after all. So a couple years into the marriage after having two kids she felt that no one would expect any foul play.
His family suspected things of course but they could never prove it, a few restraining orders and a few years later she made the Calahan name a local brand.
Cass sweating and heart thumping knowing that Abby will soon join her decided to calm her breathing making her heaving chest slow and bounce on her feet in place as Abby was getting details settled, this motion by Cass made her enhanced plump ass jiggle. It was less than an afterthought to the self made CEO, entrepreneur and love fail of a woman but to the scores of affected that have been grafted onto her body it was their whole mindless existence.
The mass collection of poor unfortunate tinies that were little more than added cushion for Cass were in cruel reality little more than a barely sentient glob of fat, it has been a few years since her procedure where the several dozens of tinies were fused to her desired areas becoming a permanent part of her so most of their minds have faded. Life made sense and was more merciful once they accepted that they were never human, they have always been part of Cassandra, why they even had thoughts at all was a mystery. Interestingly enough a horrific but scientifically amazing development happened to these poor fused souls, being connected and fused with not just Cass but also one another merged them all, shared thought and feeling making them all one living being. It was not a perfect process; some still fought for individualism but they had the worst of it. The ones that have faded into dumb nothingness were infecting and trying to silence the more resilient ones who clung to their lives, these loud ones who still insisted that they were once people hurt the greater collective of contended fat. The ones who still endure this hell hoping they will somehow be pulled out of this and be restored, but they are far too gone now even if someone could prove they were once a person. But it was a futile battle soon enough all the faded and hoarse whimpers would be smothered and join the rest, enjoying their half-lives as added plush to the backside of Cassandra Callahan.
Unaware of the grotesque horror that is happening within the chest and backside of her old friend Abby finally came out to meet Cass with her usual happy go lucky smile. Time for the pair to head to Cass’s place of business, the massive structure and shopping center.
