In an instant, the board and what Professor Coleridge was about to write on the board had changed. No longer was it advanced biology or statistics or whatever it was that this class of eager young people had signed up for. No, it now was Numbers and Letters 101 and on this the first day, the class was learning the letter A. Just as she finished writing the letter A on the board, a hand shot up to ask her something. Looking down at her roster, she matched the name and face and called on the girl “yes Ms. Marissa is it?”
The girl Marissa was a perky looking girl with her blonde hair pulled into two little pigtails wearing a Sesame Street t-shirt that barely covered her tummy and as she began to talk, she did so behind a thumb that she was sucking on. “Yes my name is Mawissa! My question is hows we sposed to learn all these letters. I alweady confused on that one”
Professor Coleridge took a beat before answering “well I don’t expect you to learn it all overnight. There’s 26 letters of which we’ll cover about half of in this course and a few numbers too.” Upon hearing this, the class began to cry feeling scared at the prospect of learning all these letters and numbers, a concept new to their infantile brains. However, the professor quickly got them back on track when she pulled out her keys and began shaking them saying “look class, some janglies”
