How does anakin get changed?

Anakin gets changed by something or someone either by accident or on purpose but how does it happen?

Option1- A separatist scientist made a gas that will various effects on those who breath it in even a quick whiff of it will effect you During a battle the scientist launched the weapon at the 501st and since the clones helmets filter stuff like that gas makes them immune to the gas but anakin isnt so lucky as he doesn't wear a helmet

Option2- Anakin discovers a artifact while on mortis that glowed when he grabbed it and as the glow died down it revealed that anakin has been changed into a woman

Option3- The females of the jedi high council with the help of padme to make a chamber like device that can rejuvenate a person maybe even regrow lost limbs Padme given them permission to have anakin test it
