You nervously started approached the bear girl despite her calm energy you still felt a tad nervous as you approached she downed another fish slurping it up and swallowing it
???: BURRRRP oof excuse me oh hello human I don't usually see you all on this island it's pretty dangerous you know
You tell her that you aren't from around here you then asked her what she's doing
???: oh I'm trying to pack up for hibernation you know what about you ?
You sat down next to her seeing as she seemed to be pretty friendly and that's when you caught a glance of her belly it was pretty big you wondered if it was usually this size or if it was part of her preparing for hibernation you told her that you were just exploring seeing as you seem to be stuck in this world
???: stuck ? AHHHH your from the connected world
You asked what she meant by connected world and she grabbed a nearby stick and shoved the berries on it down her throat and then used the stick to start drawing in the ground drawing a circle
???: okay let's say this is where you're from
She then drew a second circle having it overlap the first circle similar to what you'd see on your homework
???: and this second circle is this world their connected like this though it's thin it's usually hard to end up here portals will sometimes open randomly but not big ones at least not usually you must be unlucky to have ended up through one of the big ones
You asked if she knew of a way back
???: a way there is harder to find than a way here only a couple individuals can get there and back besides getting lucky and finding a portal I'd suggest making friends with someone who can get you there though those beings are rare of how rude of me I haven't even introduced myself I'm Nora
You introduced yourself
Nora: well it's very nice to meet you so if you're new around here I suppose you haven't had much to explore
You told her you haven't and then asked what her life is like
Nora: eh simple I eat sleep and work except during this time it's mostly just eating to prepare myself for the next few months of sleeping
You asked her about where she lives
Nora: oh it's just an old fashioned home nothing special well the house isn't at least but the forest I live in is
You asked what made the forest special
Nora: well for starters it's magic one wrong turn puts you back at beginning so if you haven't lived there for awhile you'll probably need someone to help you otherwise you'll probably never find your way through the forest but besides that it actually moves
You asked what she meant by moves
Nora: what it sounds like the forest will teleport itself to other spots depending on the season luckily I've lived there long enough that I know all about it
You asked if the forest goes to places off of this island when it teleports and Nora nods
Nora: yep sure does though it'll be a few months before it does and I'll be sleeping through it all why you looking for an easy way off the island ?
You nodded
Nora: hmmm tell you what I like you so I'll lead you into the forest and once we reach my house I have an offer for you come on
She gently grabbed your hand and led you and you followed her not questioning anything you and Nora talked and you learned a decent amount about her she's younger than you'd think despite her maturity in human years she's about your age and despite wanting a child of her own she hasn't had one nor has she mated her theory is that most are afraid of her eventually she reaches the forest and keeps her grip on your hand as to not lose you eventually you reached a house and surprisingly it looks like a cottage home and Nora finally stopped and let go of you
Nora: we're here luckily from where we are if you go any direction you'll end up somewhere however this place is definitely dangerous for a human and I like you and would prefer for you to be safe so here's my offer
She huffs as if she's nervous
Nora: I want to swallow you whole now before you runaway scared let me explain my belly is still mostly empty I want you to spend my hibernation in my belly but I promise I won't digest you I'll simply hold you in my belly until my hibernation is over and the forest has moved to somewhere new.....so what do you say ?
Obviously you didn't have a way to tell if she was lying and while she couldn't digest you what happens if she wakes up and notices she didn't digest you should she be lying well it's not like out here was much more dangerous plus if she wanted to she could have already eaten you....right ? You thought about it and finally decided to   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
