By itself, a goblin is a cowardly creature. Yes, at four foot tall, it still looks rather nasty, with its green wary skin, teeth filed down to a point, and wearing the ill-cured skins of animals who probably never saw the light of day while they were alive. But no matter how offensive a goblin’s appearance or scent might be, a solitary goblin never represented a threat.
Which is probably why you never saw a goblin alone.
A half a dozen goblins were making their way up the pass that you and your Master were quietly watching from a safe hiding place. The goblins are squabbling so much among themselves that even a human could hear them coming. Two things were obvious: this pack of goblins didn’t want to be here, but they were not going to stop coming. For some reason, this group of goblins wanted to enter the Kingdom.
