Sterool was an artificer who lived at the height of the Age of the First Empires. He constructed many wonderful devices, many of which have survived to this very day. Even his most mundane creations which were little more than toys are highly sought after.

The gem of Sterool supposedly has the designs of his greatest devices inscribed on different facets of the gem. Devices that no artificer has ever been able to duplicate.
