It may have taken a few weeks, but finally after a month and a half I got a message from a man named Paul, who lived a few towns north. He was on the cusp of 30 and a gainer with dark blonde hair, blonde beard and a few tattoos on his arms. He stood at a solid 6 feet tall and was hovering somewhere between 250 and 260. He said he had been sitting at that weight for the last year, stuck on a plateau, wanting to get bigger and double his starting weight of 185 pounds back when he was 18 and found the gainer scene. Paul explained in his emails that he was never a skinny kid and always had a bit of weight on him and used to play rugby growing up. He was always in awe of the bigger, thicker players. Paul said most of his gains went to his belly until he reached about 230 and found the rest of his body catching up and spreading outward. In the last year he found himself getting softer despite him not gaining any new weight. He chalked it up to becoming lazier and losing some muscle mass. Paul also said he wanted an encourager to push him past his plateau and up to at least 300 pounds in the next year or so.
It sounded good to me, a bigger, hairier man to grow bigger and bigger. I decided to make plans to meet him in one of the middle towns between us since I knew a good doughnut shop there.
I made my way to the doughnut shop on the day we agreed to meet, funnily enough called Holey Delights and their mascot was a doughnut with an angel ring above it.
I got myself a coffee and sat in a booth waiting for Paul to arrive..
