Lilly arrived early, as usual, hoping the quiet would help her focus.
But the moment she stepped out of the elevator, she saw Vanessa—and everything from last night came rushing back.
Same woman. Same confidence. Same outfit, even.
But different.
Her blouse fit her perfectly, tailored and smooth—but it was clearly shaped for a fuller chest than Lilly remembered. Vanessa’s figure had changed, subtly but undeniably. Not exaggerated. Not cartoonish. Just… more.
Lilly stared for a beat too long.
Vanessa caught her eye and gave a small, almost unreadable smile. Then she walked over like nothing was unusual.
“Hey,” she said, resting her hip against the edge of Lilly’s desk. “Quick question.”
Lilly closed her email and looked up, guarded.
“That card,” Vanessa said, her voice quiet. “Where is it?”
Lilly blinked. “Why?”
Vanessa glanced around to make sure no one was listening. “Because something’s definitely off. I feel… different. Bigger. I checked my bra this morning—swear it used to be a C. Now it says E. Same label. Same drawer. But it fits. Like it always has.”
She gave a nervous laugh, but her eyes were serious.
“I even looked at an old photo of myself. It looks the same. But I remember.”
Lilly’s heart pounded. “That’s… a lot.”
Vanessa nodded. “And I want to try it again. Just once. I want to see how far it goes.”
Lilly’s stomach twisted. She didn’t know why, but the idea of Vanessa using the card again sent a sharp flicker of dread through her.
“You can’t,” she said quickly. “I left the card at home.”
Vanessa frowned. “Seriously?”
“I didn’t think anything would happen. I just… didn’t want to carry it around.” She tried to keep her voice neutral. “Maybe it was a one-time thing.”
Vanessa narrowed her eyes a little but didn’t push. “Well. If you happen to find it again…”
“I’ll let you know,” Lilly lied.
Vanessa gave her a look, half-amused, half-suspicious. Then she turned and walked away, her heels clicking softly against the tile.
Lilly stared at the card hidden in her drawer.
She had no idea what would happen if someone kept using it.
