Can Roy survive the Pokemon world without getting eaten?

Chapter #1

The beginning!

Roy tightened his boot's knots before grabbing his rather small backpack and heading out the door. It was finally time! Finally the time for him to see what this wonderful world has to offer!

Normally, someone who begins its journey, must go to the Pokémon professor and grab a starter Pokémon but he's not like the common people. He's stupid!

Roy saw multiple videos on wildlife survival and he thinks he's ready to experiment it on his own. With nobody to aid or watch over him, not even a small Rattata, heck he doesn't even have pokeballs to catch anything either. His backpack has just some food and water, plus a few extra pieces of clothing. Not much, but enough to keep him alive for at least a week. That, if he doesn't get eaten, crushed, poisoned, burned, drowned or simply seizes to exist.

Roy is too sure of himself to be scared or worry.
Right now, he thinks where his journey should begin.
