Sure Roy was technically in the water, but on a commercial boat, filled with other people and lifeguards, he wasn't technically in the wild sea. Then, he spotted an emergency boat, the one-way ticket towards true separation from society. The other passengers weren't watching; some were either on their phones, chatting with one another, or doing other things that were preventing them from seeing the random boy who was approaching the lifeboat.
Without even a glimpse from anyone else, he got in the boat and detached it from the main boat. The wooden surface made a loud noise when it splashed in the water, but still, no eyewitnesses. Roy didn't wait any longer and started the motor, drove as far away from the main big boat until he couldn't see it anymore. Then he kept on driving, on and on, until he suddenly stopped.
Roy couldn't see any landmarks or any land or boats anywhere, just the flying Wingulls flying above his head. Then he realised, the emergency boat didn't had many things in it. A medical kit, and... that's about it. What a cheap boat!
Before Roy could curse, something suddenly came into view.
