The battle continues

Hand after playing: Etali, Primal Storm, Mountain, Enlightened Tutor and Growing Ranks
Field: Atla Palani, Nest Tender, Battlemage Bracers (equipped to Atla, allows her to copy her ability for an extra point of mana), Zacama, Primal Calamity (can spend mana for a variety of effects) and Ancient Copper Dragon (damage trigger makes d20 treasures), Egg x 2, Martyr's Cause (Sacrifice a creature to prevent damage from one source)
Lands: 2 Forests, 3 Mountains and a Plains

Rita draws and gets Ashnod’s Altar. She plays her mountain for turn, then taps three mountains to play Ashnod’s Altar. She’ll tap two Forests and sacrifice an egg to the altar for two Colourless mana to cast Growing Ranks. The sacrifice of the egg triggers Atla Palani’s ability, allowing the summoning of Bloom Tender from the deck.

Rita moves to combat and swings at the thrall with both Ancient Copper Dragon and Zacama, Primal Calamity. The Thrall blocks Zacama with his own egg, but leaves Metatastic Angel up as a blocker, taking 6 damage.
Phyrexian Thrall’s Life: 18

Taking his turn, the Thrall first draws a card from his Scheme deck, which is Look Skywards and Despair. It creates a dragon (5/5).

He plays a Plains and then taps a plains, swamp and a Sol Ring to cast Brimaz. Then casts Surge Conductor with three mana. This creates a Phyrexian Incubator token with three counters which is then proliferated by Metatastic Angel, bringing it to four.

He spends two mana to transform the incubator token into a 4/4 Phyrexian Artifact Creature. With his remaining three mana, he casts Stroke of Midnight to destroy Herald of Secret Streams.
