The company that chose you, wanted a water type. Not a bad choice but not an easy target either, especially if you need to swim in the middle of an ocean just to reach one. You look at the list and the name of the Pokémon they wanted.

Lapras
The most well-known water taxi Pokémon but not one you would want to get on the bad side of.

Floatzel
The evolved form of Buizel, not as popular but as dangerous.

Vaporeon
The most well-known eeveelution, sadly for the wrong reasons.

Primarina
The mermaid Pokémon, the one that could sing a lullaby to your demise.
