Kimahri had begun to notice something about Tidus recently. When the young Hume had started traveling with the Ronso's basically adopted daughter, Kimahri had only been worried about him disrupting Yuna's mission. All that changed when most of their group ended up on Bihanel Island.
Due to having to traverse Spira's largest desert before they found the Al Bhed Home, Tidus and the rest of the Humes had been sweating like mad. While the scent from everyone else's sweat was more annoying than anything, the smell from Tidus got Kimahri's attention.
After leaving Home along with several Summoners and their Guardiands on the Forbidden Airship, the scent coming from Tidus, if anything, got a lot more intense. Maybe it was do to the smaller spaces within the airship compared to the open air of the desert or the large spaces of Home.
From what Kimahri had heard from some of the Al Bhed on the ship, there were supposedly rooms that could clean people, but they had not found out how to activate them yet. This, unfortunately, led to most of the airship's cramped corridors to really irritating to his nose if Kimahri had to be in the same room with anyone. Well, anyone but Tidus for some reason.
Unable to think of why Hume's scent was tolerable and slightly interesting to his nose, Kimahri decided to get a closer sniff of it as it was. After leaving Home, the other Summoners and their parties wanted to get off the airship as soon a possible, seeing its use or even touching it as heretical based on the teachings of Yevon. Just to shut them up, the leader of the Al Bhed, Cid, dropped them off in some random town once they got close to the Spira mainland.
Yuna's Guardians, on the other hand, remained on the ship as they headed to the capital after hearing rumors of Yune being there and about to marry Seymore Guido. While Kimahri respected the man's position, he disliked the man's interest in Yuna, while at the same time having a private laugh anytime he heard the man's name. Mostly for it made the Ronso think of someone wanting to expand the Guido population, thus allowing people to see more Guido. Hearing about Yuna's about to marry the Meastro did not make the joke with the name that funny anymore.
So with the worry about his sort of adopted daughter and the mystery of Tidus's enticing scent, Kimahri decided to take action. After looking around the ship, Kimahri found Tidus, thankfully alone, in one of the storage bays, practicing with his weapon. The Hume must have been doing it for a bit, as the semi-large room by the Airship's standard was filled with Tidus's scent.
Wanting to get to the bottom of this thing, Kimahri silently approached Tidus and decided to stick his nose in at one of the more sweat-producing areas of the Hume's body. Tidus was too into his weapons training; he did not notice the large Ronso's presence in the bay until Kimahri came up behind him, took hold of his arms to hold above his head, and, much to Tidus's shock and slight embarrassment, put his nose right into Tidus's...  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
