What is the nature of the random guys who end up dominating Tidus?

1) Blitzball players. They could be from the other teams, the team Tidus joins as the Besaid Aurochos 'help' Tidus recover from Sin's Toxins, or the random players that Tidus could recruit for the side quest.

2) Maybe the people who try to 'help' Tidus recover from the memory loss after being exposed to Sin's Toxins are members of the Crusaiders, such as Luzzu and Gatta
