As Dauphin walked towards the castle, with lights shown in the windows, she spotted a line of men, marching towards the castle as well. As they passed under the lamp post, Dauphin could see the listas. Although Dauphin had grown up in a farmlike area, she knew that listas were the most expensive and powerful kinds of weapons in the whole world.

Dauphin kept watching the line of men and she noticed a symbol on their outfits. It was the symbol of the royal crown that the king of Cardac prized so much.
