Alex stood up. "How can you help me? I've lost Julia, I walked away from a duel with a prince, and now I'm at home cleaning up a drunkard. I have no dignity." Alex spat, Maurice just shaking his head.
"Brother dear, there is much for you to learn." Maurice said, sitting down and propping his feet up. Alex glared. Maurice had grown, oh how he had grown. He carried double swords strapped to his back. His blonde hair cut short and his face has lost the babiness that it had once been famous for. Maurice had become a man.
Alex sunk down to the floor and continued to clean up Drucilla. "You left me here with her." He said, wiping the woman's chin.
Maurice sighed and leaned forward. "What have you learned from her?" He asked.
"Drunkeness only leads to pain." Alex said, turning to glare at his brother.
Maurice smiled. "Good, at least you've learned something." Standing up, Maurice stretched. "Come now, we must leave now if we are to start your training."
"Training? What for?" Alex asked.
"To be a knight of course. What other training could my younger brother go through?" Maurice smiled as Alex's eyes lit up.
"A knight? Me? There's no way, we're not of the right blood!"
"Fool them Alex, that's what we'll do. With me by your side you'll become the best knight to ever roam the countryside." Maurice held out his hand. "Are you with me?"
