Emma was getting sick of hearing her mother rag on about her shyness. She knew she was shy, so she didn't need anybody to rag on her about it. Her dad often did this, as well. Emma got so sick of it, she growled.

"Can I go online?" She didn't feel like hearing her mother anymore.
