You go up to talk to Emily. Even though she’s only 4, you and her get along well. Just because you are two inches tall doesn’t mean she won’t recognize you. Then again, you hardly recognize her! That little girl that used to come up to your stomach now towers over you. You climb over her dress, right between her legs. She continues to play with the dolls. You scream up at her. She looks down. A huge grin appears on her face. Maybe this wasn’t a good idea after all…
Her pudgy fingers wrap around you as she lifts you up. After looking at you for a while, she stores you in her pocket. All day you face the uncomfortable accommodations of a 4-year-old’s dress pocket and the annoying crackling sound of her pull-ups every times she moves. She finally pulls you out. Your mom is changing her into her pajamas. You shout for your mom but she is busy dressing Emily in her pink pajamas. Once Emily is in bed, your mom kisses her goodnight and leaves the room.
Emily gives you a big kiss goodnight and is about ready to go to sleep. She keeps you in her hand as she drifts off. Suddenly, you become alarmed. Emily still sucks her thumb… and you’re in her hand! What now?
