"So what did you do today?" asks your Dad sitting on your bed making the cushion sink under his impressive 360 pound body.
"Went to the mall and got a new cd," you answer," I was going to buy a second one and then I realized you guys owe me some allowance."
"Oh yeah," your Dad says remembering and fishes out his wallet," That's... uh.. 4 weeks?"
"Correct," you answer and your Dad hands you 40 bucks, not bad for doing the laundry, cutting the lawn, helping cook and clean and vacuuming the house.
"Keep buying music," says your Dad picking up the CD cover and looking it over," Oh yeah, this band."
"So how was work?" you ask.
Your dad tells you about his office buddies, his lunch, that was once again disappointing, his clients and a girl he spotted and gives you a little nudge. Your Dad heads to his room and gets changed into some loose jeans (his biggest pair) and a white polo shirt and heads downstairs to watch some TV.
Soon enough you hear Mike burst into the house and chat with your Dad and Mom. Soon you're called downstairs for supper. You quickly wash your hands first and turn and almost run into Mike.
"Hey little brother," Mike says in front of you and wraps his arms around you and gives and a strong bear hug against his belly, which looks even bigger since he left for college.
"Hey," you greet as the air is squeezed out of your lungs," looks like you got bigger, Mike."
Mike lets you go and pats his belly then flexes his powerful arms and says," I guess I did. Unlike you."
With that Mike pokes your flat stomach and ruffles your hair.
"Just you wait," you smile pushing Mike's hand off your head.
"Better catch up quickly," Mike warns and washes his huge paws.
You head downstairs and take your seat and as soon as Mike sits down you dig into the meal.
About halfway through you eye the calendar on the wall and your Mom notices and says," What's a matter dear?"
