Going to football camp

    by: Theday Author IconMail Icon
"So whatcha doing tomorrow?" Mike asks sitting back down on the couch.
"I'm going to camp," you answer with a smile.
"Oh?" Mike says," What kind?"
"A football one," you answer," ages 17 to 19."
"You're going to a football camp?" Mike asks looking you over.
"Yeah," you answer.
Mike looks you over and stands up and lifts up your shirt and says," Well.... I guess you could make a good kicker. How long are you going for?"
"3 weeks," you answer slowly walking towards the stairs.
"Good, Remember to drink lots of water, lots of kids get dehydrated within days of camp," Mike smiles sitting down and scratching himself," With you gone, I'll be able to lie around in my underwear all day."
"You do that anyway," you comment and walk up the stairs and take the first door on the left.
You enter your bedroom and take out your new CD from your bag and turn on your computer and put it in the CD drive. You begin to listen to your new CD, chat with your online buddies and visit your normal sites. You won't be on for 3 weeks so you make sure you tell your buddies and such.

Time slowly slipped away and your folks finally arrive home and your Mom gets cooking to feed her boys.
"Hey," came a deep voice.
You turn around to see your Dad's friendly face," why aren't you packed yet?"
"I still have time," you tell him.
"True," your Dad says walking into your room and lowering his huge self onto your bed making his belly appear a little bigger," So are you excited about going to camp."
"Of course," you answer looking at your Dad with a smile.
"Thatt’a boy," your Dad smiles and messes up your hair with his huge hands," I keep forgetting my sons are growing up," Your Dad laughs.
"Sure," you smile and poke your Dad's gut.
"Well," you Dad says getting up," I gotta get changed into something less formal."
Your Dad exits your bedroom and half an hour later it's supper time. It's the first supper you've had as a family for a few months and somethings never change. You're out eaten and both Mike and your Dad suggest you should eat more.
After supper you return to your room to play some video games and a couple of hours later you pack your suitcase for camp then you fall asleep.

The Next Day

"Hurry up (insert your name here)!"
You quickly run down the stairs with your backpack and head past your Dad at the door. You pile into your parents SUV and your Dad gets into the driver's seat and backs out of the drive way and heads off to the high school where the bus for the camp is.

You arrive at the school to see there's quite a few people going from (insert your home town name here). Many are wearing NFL T-shirts, caps, or jerseys. Your Dad helps you with your suitcase and leads you to the bus and gives you a big bear hug goodbye and reminds you to call and to write and, most importantly, to have fun. With that you get on the bus and your Dad runs into a friend and begins chatting with them.
The bus is pretty full, but you spot two places, both with someone sitting alone and room for one more person. But who should you sit next to?

You have the following choices:

1. The big linebacker guy? or

*Pen*
2. The slim quarterback looking guy?

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
