"Gene!" came Jim's voice from Melfina's belly. "you really think we can trust this girl?"
"I'm a guy!" said the kid loudly to Melfina's belly, making Melfina chuckle.
"Sorry...I can't hear well in here" said Jim.
"Relax, Jim" said Gene. "I think we can trust this kid. What's your name by the way?"
"Kevin" said the kid.
"Well, Kevin, we'll see you tomorrow" said Gene. "don't come to early...I like to sleep in"
"Since when?" asked Jim dryly.
"Hey, shouldn't you be digesting?!" asked Gene sounding angry.
"Takes a few hours for me to digest anybody" said Melfina. "you of all people should remember that, Gene"
Gene did remember. Like any food, people tended to take hours to digest. He remembered the first time that Melfina had eaten him. It took her almost 6 hours to be digested. Melfina restored him in no time at all.
"So, what should we do with Kevin?" asked Suzuka.
"Let him go" said Gene. "he'll be back in the morning"
"Unless..." said Melfina.
"Unless what?" asked Gene.
"Unless Kevin wants to spend the night here" said Melfina.
Kevin's eyes lit up. "I would like that very much"
"Don't you have a home to go to?" asked Gene.
Kevin didn't answer.
"Whatever" said Gene. "alright, you can stay"
Kevin's sleeping arangements were harder to solve. Starwind and Hawking Enterprises only had room for six people and it had six rooms. There seemed to be no room for Kevin.
"I can sleep anywhere" said Kevin. "I've been doing that alot since I met Rose"
"You can sleep in my room" said Melfina. "I hardly ever sleep. I don't need much sleep, being a bio-android"
Kevin went to Melfina's room and fell asleep almost at once.
"I think that Kevin is homeless" said Melfina.
"What was your first clue?" asked Gene. Suzuka went to her room as well, leaving Gene and Melfina alone on the couch. Aisha was clearly in her room, no doubt sleeping off a meal she had earlier.
"Goodnight" said Gene, slowly drifting asleep.
"Goodnight, Gene" said Melfina, still caressing Gene's belly. Gene was using Melfina's belly as a pillow.
