![]() Billie, Here is my review for your entry to "The Christian Writing Contest" This entry does fit the prompt of writing about an 18th chapter or an 18th verse. In fact, you reference two 18th chapters: Matthew and Revelation. For me, your comments are not as broad as I was hoping for. Also, this item still looks like a poem. To present it as prose, it might have been better to display it like this: In chapters 18, we learn so many things from our Savior! In the Kingdom, we all will be equal! Matthew 18 tells us: We must become like children to enter eternity! The first will be last and the last will be first! Isn't this a wonderful promise? Yet, Revelation 18 warns of the end of the world: Babylon tells a great prophecy! The world will be vile and sinful, like it is right now! And the sinners will be backbiters, scornful of one another. "LORD JESUS, COME QUICKLY!" As I rearranged your words, I noticed that every line of your item is CAPITALIZED like a freestyle poem. I am therefore going to once again remind you that poetry is not accepted for "The Christian Writing Contest" In the future, please remember this and submit your poems to contests that would be glad to accept them. There are lots of poetry contests around. There is even a place for you to enter this freestyle poem right now! Try your luck at:
That contest DOES accept poetry—specifically poetry that has failed to win in another contest—so this item would qualify! Good luck writing and finding good contests to use for your poetry!
