Well, you certainly have scared the daylights out of me, which I wasn't expecting since it is listed as "a kids horror book," but then kids probably don't scare as easily as I do. ![]() Nevertheless, you terrified this reader, more than once (the scarecrow; the next figure in the corn; the narrator's dream). Terrified. I'm afraid to read the next chapter but I really want to. You did great with delineating the two sisters and the narrator's friend Andrew, I found those really true-to-life and mostly likeable. I'd give a grammar/spell checker a quick spin, but otherwise, it's great. My favorite line (among many) is: "“They’re not just pumpkins,” I said. “They’re future jack-o-lanterns." (I can just hear myself in the Narrator's voice and attitudes.) Consider this a review from ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
