Introduction~ Cadie here for the final review of Building Emotion and Sensuality.
NOTE: This review is only the opinion of one author. This review is meant to help and NOT hurt.
Personal Impressions~ You did a great job building the anticipation of the moment. The climax and the proposal were a nice touch.
Plot, Conflict and Structure~ Sarah has planned a getaway for her and Luke. Someplace where they won't get interrupted. They arrive and unpack and enjoy some uninterrupted time together. I was actually surprised that Luke was driving. I figured that since it was Sarah's surprise, she'd be driving. It doesn't take away from the story at all though. I like that Luke thought of her and stopped for the wildflowers that was a cute addition to the story.
Characterization and Dialogue~ The way your characters have acted and reacted to each other has been believable and realistic. Their dialogue doesn't take away from the story.
Showing vs. Telling~ You showed the emotion of the characters well and swapped point of view well also. Your descriptions of the sex scene were specific enough for me to know what was going on yet general enough not to get outside your level of comfort.
Conclusions~ You have a well written story here. Enough to begin a novella for these two characters. I hope you have enjoyed being in this class as much as I have enjoyed having you. It's nice to have fresh blood...victims...face in the class. Thank you for your time and hard work.
