Wow! It is indeed an excellent poetry. I must appreciate the style of beginning. The house was cold and dark. That indicates that something is going wrong.
What was the reason behind it? The grandmother of the narrator was suffering from breast cancer. That was the last stage. So everyone knew that the last breath was not far away.
The teller was aware of her family history. She got nervous. Will she be rescued or not? She prays to God. But, the fate is unknown to her.
That poetry ends with that fear psychosis. That is a brilliant finishing touch.
