*Tulipo* Greetings, Noisy Wren! I am reviewing this because I discovered it on Read & Review. It immediately interested me because I, too, extremely dislike it when others say, "Whatever."

*Quill* First of all, my reviews are intended to be helpful and encouraging, not hurtful in any way. Use what you feel works for you and leave the rest.

*Tulipp* The Positives/What I Liked
*Bulletv* I loved this personal essay about this verbal slap, as you mentioned, regarding the word Whatever. What a great piece, and I agree with you 100%!
*Bulletg* The cover image is perfect.
*Bulletp* The essay-description under your title, is alluring, and one reason I decided to read on.
*Bulletb* I don't know how some people feel the need say this barb-wired word to others. It's hurtful and damaging to relationships. Your second paragraph covers this well. Excellent! As one example you share...sometimes it’s just a rude or mean-spirited person being themselves, this is what I usually think about the person who says Whatever, and had not thought about the other possibilities you mentioned. Good thinking.
*Bulleto* Yes, it is a gut punch and why do we allow ourselves to care? Maybe because we're human and would never intentionally hurt others like that. *Heart*

*Tulipb* Suggestions/Comments to Consider
In your first line, you write...a four-syllable shutdown It should be... a three-syllable shutdown *Wink* Unless you pronounce "Whatever" differently than I do.
Paragraph 3: Use it's only when you mean it is or it has it’s word armor *Right* it’s word armor Although...over three-hundred years ago, the contraction spelling would have been correct! *Wink*

*Tulipy* Final Thoughts
I like how you end your essay at the beginning of the last paragraph... Don’t let “whatever” be your legacy.
         Thank you for writing this!

Have a great day and...*Quill*
