| ONCE In a BLUE MOON What did you say? A blue moon tonight? Count me in! |
| Hello WebWiԎch I am here with a review for your scientific monologue because it has the same title as "Once in a Blue Moon" This piece is very funny. I felt every word very personally. First of all, don't the night sky people announce a bunch of "once in a lifetime" events all the dang time? Most years have 365 nights, some have 366. Regardless of what's going on in space, each single one of those is "once in a lifetime." Like you, I once stayed up late to witness a specific lunar event. I even woke up my children at the exact prescribed time for my latitude and longitude to witness said event. Aside from not seeing anything, I at least came away with a "once in a lifetime" memory of my young children, roused from deep sleep, wrapped in their blankets, blinking sleepily at the sky and murmuring that they can't see anything. I don't think we ever talked about it again. I love your lighthearted and slightly snarky tone in this piece. And I also think that leaving double the amount of space between the last line in comparison to the space left between previous paragraphs makes a lot of sense and adds a visual impression to the text that is otherwise hard to convey without the inflection of a voice. I love looking at the moon as much as the next person, but I certainly won't be losing any sleep over some kind of blue strawberry blood moon. That being said, it was kind of a neat trick of the calendar when Halloween fell on the full moon. I always enjoy your portfolio.
