| (5.0)  "Anniversary Reviews" is celebrating A QUARTER CENTURY of Writing.Com! Hi winklett .I'm JACE , and I have the honor of reading and reviewing your offering "Why I Love Writing.com" . Essays like this are some of my favorites to read and review.I invite your attention to the comments below. Please bear in mind these notes are from one on the outside looking in; ultimately only you can decide what's right for your story.  Overall Impression. I remember the 80's as my introduction to the personal computer. Mi first was a TI-99, which was no good as a word processor, especially since it used a cassette tape for storage. I figure I'm about 16 years older than you--my written papers were laboriously typed on an antique Remington typewriter. Errors were not easily corrected. Or, I hand-wrote everything ... for many years.You penned this essay in 2004 having discovered Writing.Com two years earlier. I took a bit longer to find the site. Yet your words might have easily been written by any member. Your words embody the creativity and camaraderie of the membership. They remind me why WDC is so important; they're a powerful statement to the creative writer. I was sorry to hear of your reason for searching out such a platform as WDC. My reasons were less intense. I suspect a thousand members would have a thousand stories to tell in finding WDC.  Technical and Editorial Considerations. I normally list those areas that relate specifically to the mechanics of your writing here--punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc.Technically speaking, I noticed one spot where I found your wording to be a bit odd: I still remember using the ‘net for the first time, maybe in 1994 or 1995. It seems to me that if you remember, you would know the year. Perhaps, re-working your line to something like this: I used the 'net' for the first time in the mid-90's.  Favorite Part. Your closing paragraph sums your essay perfectly. And I agree wholeheartedly. My Rating. 5.0.  Thank you for sharing this offering. Please accept these comments as offered in friendship and support.
