| How To Get Viewed One of the most important items to read. 36 ways to get viewed! |
| Hi Theday I'm JACE I invite your attention to the comments below. Please bear in mind these notes are from one on the outside looking in; ultimately only you can decide what's right for your story. It looks like it's been 15 years since you last updated this item. A lot has changed at WDC since 2010, and this item will benefit from a little massaging. Would you mind if I mentioned this article in my upcoming Noticing Newbies newsletter? Also, I'm in the process of seeking out How-To articles such as yours to be listed in what I call "The File Cabinet" I suppose the danger of including specific information regarding WDC features is that the SM will change things up. Item 2 finds the site more than tripling the number of Static Items to almost 335,000 on Sep 14, 2025. And, under Item 3, you refer to features allowed in a Free membership--five items should now be ten. You might consider saying that Journals and Blogs are normally Book items, which also require an Upgraded membership. Perhaps instead of listing specific features you can add the following to your article: "Compare Free and Paid Membership Benefits" One thing I mention often in my reviews pertains to Item 6. Not only do I discuss one's title, but also the brief description. They go hand in hand, and are both important to enticing a reader and potential reviewer to an item. This is the first time I've ever heard about Title Wave. Was this something used in the early days of the site? I joined in 2008 and have never come across this action, or event. Under Item 32, Eyes Only is Keep PRIVATE, for my eyes only!. Stating like the latter may avoid confusion for anyone editing their item. Finally, you mention Upgraded and Premium membership levels, but not the Basic level. That level may be all a person can afford at the present, but will offer some benefits and features that may help his writing endeavors. The Premium Plus level may be mentioned because it exists, and is an option of the very serious writer. Reviewed by JACE ![]()
