The reversal of roles in any relationship causes turmoil

You were supposed to protect me,
shield me from the storms of life.
Tell me it will be okay,
dry the tears that stain my cheeks.

But I'm the protector,
holding the umbrella when it rains.
Looking you in the eyes saying it will be okay,
I dry your tears,
But you still don't love me.
