| -All That I Heard- by Keaton Foster Sounds Pounds Weights That I must carry What a load I’m so damn tired All that I heard When I was a child Voices speaking evil Telling me That I’m unwanted Not meant to be From day one they screamed And from that day on I have listened The pleads for freedom Spoken by me Went unanswered The cries for help Shouted loud Went unheard By all others God above was silent The Devil below didn’t know Truly I was all alone I was a lamb Being chased by wolves Time and again They caught me Consuming what I needed Leaving them full Leaving me starving Again and again I ran As far as I could But each time I arrived They would be there Waiting for me All that I heard Has transcended the time Since then and now Sounds Pounds Weights That I must carry What a load I’m so damn tired I wish things could be different But they can and never will be I have suffered most Because as it was said Spelled out loud and clear Examples lent via fear That I am not suppose To be here… All That I Heard Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2013 |
