His Night

Oh The Holy night of the year

The night on which the babe was born

The stars in the heaven shined bright

A Christian’s favorite time is here



The time in which our Christ appeared

Mary swaddled him-kept him warm

This was a very special night

It changed all of the atmosphere



The time when all the sinners fear

A time when we as Christians mourn

For we know the future plight

Of a babe so sweet and dear







Note: three stanzas 8 syllables each line
