Rosey curses Vic 300 words |
Such A Small Thing "You're going to regret this!" Rosey spat angrily at Vic. "Even if I do, it's a small thing. I've regretted bigger things than this in my life," Vic laughed harshly. He walked away nonchalantly without looking back. Rosey muttered something as she watched him go. Then she vanished. From that night on, Vic had a constant eerie feeling. It made his skin crawl and his mind cringe. It seemed to follow him wherever he went, whatever he did. Once he thought he heard shuffling feet behind him, but when he turned to look, no one was there. He began to carry a gun on him, something he'd vowed he would never do because to him, it showed fear. It didn't help. One night, he couldn't stand it any longer. He turned and began to fire until he emptied his gun. The feeling left him abruptly. He should have known it wouldn't last. By the next evening, it was back! "I've got to stop whatever it is that Rosey sicced on me. I know it was her, it had to be!" he muttered louder and louder as time went on. He was relaxing in his easy chair with his feet up one evening, when he felt huge arms wrap around his chest. Before long, he couldn't breathe, couldn't yell, couldn't talk into his phone or even pick it up. He fought against the assailant for as long as he could, to no avail. His neighbors reported a foul odor from his apartment and police broke down the door. Finding Vic dead, clearly for days, they began to investigate. No evidence of any kind puzzled authorities. Rosey watched the news of his death with little interest. Creating a golem had been the perfect answer to her Vic problem. |
