Over the course of the six decades I was actively writing, I managed to get five novels to a worthy-of-publishing state. They've been languishing on Amazon for a good many years, and they don't get much attention there anymore. I guess every book has a shelf-life unless you're one of the true masters, and being one of those is one thing, at least, that I've never been accused of. As of this writing, I've sold one book in the past calendar year. When you consider that I started writing seriously in the 1960s, I've had a ride that I never could have dreamed of.
Thanks to the internet, my steampunk trilogy garnered me a small but supportive following that provided the nickname some of you may have known me by, Blimprider. There is a police procedural set during the Cold War that I'm quite fond of, and also a "cozy fantasy" for want of a better term. I've written another novel that I'm not going to share here because it was my "training wheels" as I learned the Craft.
So find a cozy nook and settle into an easy chair. This library will take some time to build, but it's open now, and will be throughout its construction. I make no request for reviews; I know from experience that reviewing novels can be a daunting task. But what I hope is to be read. Being read is like air to an author. Making sales, being lauded, and everything else is gravy for the artisan, but the basic act of being read is the writer's life blood. So, settle back and enjoy this library that will grow around you as you read. It is my honor and my pleasure to be able to present these stories. I hope you will derive some pleasure from reading them.
