You stumble across a device capable of letting you take over the lives of others. |
| You take on the role of Ben, who finds a strange device resembling a remote that allows him to assume the lives of others. The device only has two buttons, one of which is its main function while the other is a reset button. When the first button is pressed while aiming at a person, you will instantly take over their identity—what this means is you will physically remain yourself, but you will be transported into the position of your target, will be wearing their clothing and other accessories, and will be perceived as them by everyone else. The new clothing will not be resized to fit you, but will somehow remain adorned even if it is too big or small without risk of tearing or falling off. So, if you use the device on your neighbor as she is tending to her garden, you will find yourself kneeling over her flower beds, dressed in her workwear and greeted by her roommate as her. Think of it kind of like a cross between a life swap and possession! While you are assuming someone else’s life, reality will adjust so your own identity’s absence be accounted for—people will believe you had errands to run, you had to step away to use the bathroom, etc. The device will also travel with you during its usage, allowing you to reset or take over another person’s identity should you desire; moving to a new identity will cause the owner of one you previously took over to “resume” their role. Using the reset button will undo your last use of the device, while holding it down will undo all of its effects, immediately returning you to your own identity. Those you use the device on will not recall it being used on them, but will remember anything you did in their life as if they had done it themselves. Additions welcomed and encouraged!! Please try to write at least a paragraph, avoid explicit sexual content, and do not use the device on any minors. Otherwise, write as you like and I hope you enjoy! |
