My fourth sprint, first ofr today

I think I have always wanted to write. When I first learned to read, I was fascinated by the words of others, by the worlds they could create. I, too, wanted to create worlds that would transport others to the worlds in my mind. The characters and scenes, the words and actions of the pople in my imagination. I tried doing some writing when I was in elementary school. I wrote and entire book of poetry , ilustrated it with the pages of my grandmothers magazines, Then I gave it to my third grade teacher, I don't remember ant of the versesm or even the inages that I ibncluded. Thast was the first.. I wrote the "hook" for a mystery novel that included a ballet student. It was very dark and intense. I showed to my mom, and mayboe some others, I don't really remember, but the consensus was that it was good and engaging and they wanted to know what happened next. I didn't know so it was never finished. That was in either 7th or 8th grade. I thaink I should revisit that and see where it leads me .
Other than school assignments, that is all I wrote for a long time. When I started using the internet, I had the germ of a dragon shifter story, way before Twilight or all the ones that followed. I wrote an articlas for a computer users magazine that got publifshed.
Than another dry spell. When I found Writing.com and was reinvigorated, I started writing poems and some flash fiction, I wrote some hooks for stories that intruded in my imagination. Then I had the idea for a young adult novel a female aviator who met the likes of ameilia Earheart and her fellow flyers, startd the 99s', and competeted in the first ever coast to coast women only flying derby, dubbed the "Powder Puss Derby" by none oither than Will Rogers. Since some of that derby ocurred in Oklahoma, where I am from. I have written pieces, part of a chapter, part of an epilogue and a scene wherem the flyers are making a scheduled stop.
If I can get to where I write
